There are plenty highs and lows in the Lake District and this adventure will encompass 2 days of riding a number of the classic routes which make the area famous for mountain biking.

We will also ride some less know but just as amazing routes to show you the true heart of the Lake District that the locals ride and love.

Big mountains mean big days out on the bike, the mileage covered may not be the greatest but the quality of the trails are phenomenal. From woodland trails past lakes and streams to high rugged mountain passes, a weekend riding in the Lake District has it all to give a mountain biker both technically challenging and fast swooping trails.

Welcome to Applecross with its breathtaking views across to the Isle of Raasay and behind that the Isle of Skye and the Cuillin Hills. We will spend the evening camping on the edge of the sea ready for a ride first thing in the morning from the tents. A farm track leads down the valley until we climb up onto the tops where we will again be riding some of the best natural trails in Scotland for the day.

The forth day brings the absolute Scottish classic of Torridon. The trails in this area are a favourite of ours and we hope they will be of yours. They are a fine end to a Scottish adventure from Isle to mainland to mountain.

Day one is your own time to travel to Scotland if you haven't come up the day before. For those already on the Isle of Skye its time for some sight seeing or whisky tasting. We can pick guests up from Fort William train station with prior arrangement and from there we head north to our first night on the Isle of Skye.  A chance to sample to local whisky at the Sligachan Inn which will be our starting point for the following days riding.
