Guiding

Guided rides should have an element of adventure, freedom and fun; creating lasting memories and friendships along the way.

WeRide pride ourselves on offering guided mountain bike rides for all levels of ability in some of the most stunning locations in the UK.  We take away the stress of planning and preparation, leaving you just to enjoy riding with your friends.

 

If its mountain biking you love with a passion or are new to the trails, then this is where we can show you the best the UK has to offer.

 

From single day adventures to week long adventures, the guided rides are fun, action packed and aimed to show you the best of the area you will be riding in. We can create an adventure for you personally or a group of your best riding buddies.

All our guides are British Cycling or MIAS qualified, insured, First Aid Qualified and have a passion for riding and guiding.

Peak District

The Peak District is two distinct areas the Dark Peak and the White Peak and each area has unique riding characteristics.  The Dark peak is steep gritstone trails, technical and lots of woodland singletrack. The White Peak is made up of rolling farmland and limestone trails.

Scottish Borders

The world famous Scottish Borders a mecca for mountain biking. From the trails centre of Glentress, the home of downhill at Innertleithen and the Enduro trails of the Golfie offer every level of rider an awesome ride.

There is more to the Borders than these popular areas with stunning XC routes with endless singletrack descents to lesser know Enduro trails to ride if you know where to find them.

Lake District

Big mountain days are a defining factor of Lakeland riding often with some hike a bike involved. The southern Lakes offer lower level riding but equally as exciting without the height gain.

 

There are two trail centres in the Lakes which when combined with local natural trails offer a unique riding experience in a beautiful National Park

Cairngorms

The Cairngorms is a wildness that has to be experienced to appreciate its wild and remoteness. You can ride all day and see no other riders or walkers out on the trails.

​

Big mountain days to lakes and forest singletrack, epic rides create a varied amount of riding all in one stunning location.

Yorkshire Dales

The vastness of the Yorkshire Dales and the rolling hill should not be underestimated. Long steady climbs and fast open descents are a defining element of riding in the Dales.

​

If you like a ride with plenty of miles in yor legs then the Yorkshire Dales will deliver every time.

Meet The Guides

Ben

Ben is an accomplished coach, guide and rider with a wealth of experience racing XC, DH, Enduro and Endurance events for over 30 years. Ben has seen the sport of mountain biking develop from the very early days to the technology led bikes we all ride today.

Ben holds both coaching and guiding qualifications from British Cycling to the highest level capable for the UK.

 

Ben has an accommodating approach and is excellent at identifying your needs and creating plans to aid progression.

​

Ben has ridden all over the world, and as you can tell from his picture, isn’t against the odd hike-a-bike.

Will

Will is based in the North Lakes and having lived and breathed mountain bikes for the last decade I’m passionate about helping fellow mountain bikers progress their riding and introducing new people to the sport.

Will loves being high up in the Lakeland mountains and his knowledge of local routes is second to none.

​

Will holds both coaching and guiding qualifications from British Cycling to the highest level capable in the UK.

Gav

    I love all things bike!! New bikes old bikes, short rides, long rides so long as I am on a bike I'm happy.

    ​

    Gav is our newest guide but comes to WeRide with a wealth of guiding experience from the UK and Europe.

    ​

    Gav has guided extensively in Italy where he used to live and now lives back inn the UK fulltime.

    ​

    Gav holds MIAS qualification.
